Dr. Malamed is a dentist anesthesiologist and Emeritus Professor of Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles, where he taught from 1973 to 2013. He is a Diplomat of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and has authored more than 160 scientific papers and 17 chapters in various medical and dental journals and textbooks in the areas of physical evaluation, emergency medicine, local anesthesia, sedation and general anesthesia.

Dr. Malamed has received the Heidebrink Award [1996] from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology as well as the Horace Wells Award from the International Federation of Dental Anesthesia Societies, 1997 (IFDAS). He has authored three widely used textbooks published by CV Mosby: Handbook of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office (7th edition 2015); Handbook of Local Anesthesia (7th edition 2019); and Sedation–A Guide to Patient Management (6th edition 2017). In addition to the Emergency Medicine DVD set (2nd edition, 2008), he has published Malamed’s Local Anesthetic Technique DVD (2004).

Kristi Quairoli, PharmD, BCACP, CDCES is a clinical pharmacist specialist in ambulatory care and the director of the PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency for Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. She also serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine with Emory University School of Medicine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in Gainesville, FL and then completed a community pharmacy practice residency with the Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy (now College of Pharmacy).

After completing her residency, she served as Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences from 2005-2008. Dr. Quairoli became Board Certified in Ambulatory Care in 2011. She currently practices in the outpatient internal medicine clinics (Primary Care Center) and Diabetes Clinic, but has experience in the Heart Failure, Liver (Hepatitis C) and Neurology Clinics. She precepts pharmacy students from Mercer University, South University and the University of Georgia. Her areas of special interest are Type 1 diabetes and diabetes technologies.

Zev Schulhof holds a dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Schulhof then completed a General Surgery internship at Mount Sinai Hospital. His Oral & Maxillofacial surgical training included a Chief Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Schulhof continues to be involved in residency training while maintaining his busy private practice in Teaneck NJ.

Dr. Schulhof is a sought-after lecturer on topics such as Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office, Pain Control and Anxiety, Botox and Facial Fillers, Implants and Bone Grafting. Dr. Schulhof teaches hands-on training courses for MIS implants, the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics and on Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office. He is also the Medical Director of the MIS Biomaterials and Bone Grafting division. He publishes articles both nationally and internationally on a variety of topics.

Dr. Schulhof is the current President of the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics, a Diplomate, in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; and a clinical instructor and attending surgeon, at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Yun is a board-certified anesthesiologist who specializes in office and dental anesthesia. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Southern California and completed his post-graduate training at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences. He is a Lecturer at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Clinical Professor at the Western University of Health Sciences, and an Expert Consultant and Examiner for the Dental Board of California. He is also a Safety Inspector for the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF).

He has extensive clinical research experience and has given numerous lectures across the country and internationally on patient safety issues.

Dr. Cohen has been a licensed practicing dentist in New York State for more than 30 years. He taught at Columbia University SDOS for more than 30 years and was an Attending Dentist at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for over 20 years. Dr. Cohen is past president of the New York State Society of Dentistry for Children and is currently Director of Compliance for Health Compliance Team Inc., a national compliance company delivering total on-site compliance solutions and seminars to dental offices. Dr. Cohen is employed by HealthFirst.

David Reznik is a graduate of Emory College and Emory University School of Dentistry. David Reznik is the founder of the Oral Health Center of Grady Health System’s Infectious Disease Program and serves as Chief of the Dental Medicine Service. In 2020, Dr. Reznik was awarded the Atlanta Business Chronicles Healthcare Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Reznik was the recipient of the Association for Dental Safety’s (ADS) 2021 Dr. James J. Crawford lifetime achievement award.

In 2022, Dr. Reznik was appointed to the Georgia Board of Dentistry and inducted into the International College of Dentistry. He received the Emory University School of Dentistry Alumni Distinguished Achievement in 2023. In 2025 Dr. Reznik was honored with the Atlanta EMA’s Area Outreach Initiative Faye Brown-Sterling Legacy award and a presidential citation from the ADS. Dr. Reznik was elected to serve as the President of the Georgia Board of Dentistry in July 2025.

Dr. Scott Cohen is a practicing inpatient and ambulatory physician who also serves as chief informatics officer for the Bassett Healthcare Network. Cohen completed his undergraduate work at the University at Albany in 1993 with a BS in Biology and received his MD degree from the Albany Medical College in 1997. He then joined Albany Medical Center Hospital to complete a residency in Family and Community Medicine, in which he is board-certified.

Dr. Cohen joined the faculty at Bassett Medical Center in 2000 and has served as Informatics liaison and Medical Director during his tenure. He also earned an MBA in 2009 from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Cohen took a network-wide role in Informatics in 2009 and was named Chief Medical Information officer in 2013. He has a special interest in collaborative technology and patient care and has coordinated a group of hospitals throughout New York to implement processes to promulgate New York regulations.

Dr. Cohen enjoys seeing patients both in ambulatory practice and the inpatient setting as a hospitalist. He serves as adjunct faculty for Upstate Medical University and Columbia University.

In 2014 Cohen became dual board certified, adding Clinical Informatics certification, one of only 300 in the world. Cohen is a member of numerous committees surrounding Quality, Informatics and Medical Staff Governance. In 2015 Cohen was named Chief Performance Improvement Officer, in recognition for his role in Bassett’s Clinical Quality and Performance Improvement program.

Fiona M. Collins, BDS, MBA, MA, is a distinguished speaker and author with both national and international acclaim. She has delivered presentations on a range of topics including infection control, oral disease prevention and management, pain management, vaping, tobacco cessation, and dental materials. Dr. Collins is an active member of the ADA, CDS, and OSAP, serves as the ADA representative to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), participates in standards working groups, and is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

She earned her general dentistry degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland and holds an MBA and an MA from Boston University.

Dr. Amanda Okundaye graduated from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and completed an AEGD program at Lutheran Medical Center in Tucson, a GPR at UCLA, and a dental anesthesiology residency at UCLA. She has maintained a full-time private practice dedicated to dental anesthesia in Nevada since 2008 and serves as Associate Program Director for Dental Anesthesiology at UNLV, where she is also an attending for pediatric and general practice residency programs, in addition to serving as an attending for NYU Langone Health’s Dental Anesthesiology program.

Dr. Okundaye is an examiner and anesthesia subcommittee member for the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners, Co-Director of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry’s moderate parenteral sedation course for over 20 years, and a national lecturer on sedation and medical emergencies in dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, an active member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, ADA, and Southern Nevada Dental Association, and a mentor through MIND and Meharry Medical College mentoring programs.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Dustin Calhoun is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, board certified in emergency as well as EMS medicine, practicing at UC Medical Center, West Chester Hospital and the Cincinnati VA. He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, trained in emergency medicine in Charlotte, NC and completed an EMS fellowship at UC where he is now the Associate Director of the Division of EMS. He is the Medical Director for the Cincinnati Fire Department as well as several smaller EMS agencies, including the Cincinnati/NKY International Airport Fire Department, and two law enforcement tactical teams.

He is active as a helicopter flight physician with UC Health’s Air Care and Mobile Care, the Medical Director for emergency management for UC Health and the preparedness clinical advisor for regional health system collaborative. He also serves as the Chief Medical Preparedness Officer for the University of Cincinnati.

With over 35 years as a healthcare provider, emergency medical physician, and EMT through paramedic, Dr. Davidoff is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Disaster Medicine, and is an NYS and FL Paramedic, former interior-rated firefighter, and ATLS/ACLS instructor.

He served as Regional EMS Medical Director for four counties in New York’s Finger Lakes Region for nearly 30 years and as Chief Medical Director for an air medical service, ground MICU, and multiple EMS and fire agencies, while also serving on the NYS EMS Advisory Committee and EMS Council.

A Past President of the Air Medical Physicians Association, he authored and edited chapters of Principles and Direction in Air Medicine, helped establish the Core Curriculum in Air Medicine education series, and directed AMPA’s annual anatomy and procedure lab for 15 years.

He was instrumental in introducing Rapid Sequence Intubation, fentanyl, and ketamine for paramedic use in NYS, was one of three physicians chosen to beta test the EZ-IO intraosseous device, and led a pilot project for EMT-applied CPAP. A long-standing proponent of expanded paramedic scope — including community paramedicine and hospice paramedicine — he has directed regional EMS conferences, taught at all levels of healthcare for decades, and continues to teach anatomy and critical care procedures in cadaver labs.

Known as a hands-on EMS physician who regularly responds alongside crews, he brings a uniquely broad foundation that includes medical school training in England, a family medicine residency, and extensive hospital and administrative experience as Chief, Director, and Associate Director across multiple organizations.
