Protecting Land and Water
Customers mail sharps and medical waste, pharmaceutical waste, amalgam waste and lead waste to our licensed processors for proper handling and disposal per EPA regulations. All mailback services are transported by common carrier (UPS and USPS vehicles) which helps lower our carbon footprint by not using transport vehicles just for these waste streams. By using these services, we are protecting our land and water systems from harmful chemicals.
Proper Handling
Unused Medication Disposal
Every year, HealthFirst collects over 45 tons of unused and expired medications through our unused medication return envelopes (provided with every medication replenishment for our emergency medical kits). All medications received are properly diverted and destroyed, protecting people and the environment.
