In addition to the initial training, Colorado dentists who hold any anesthesia or sedation permit are required to complete 17 hours of continuing education (CE) related specifically to sedation or anesthesia administration over the five-year permit period. These CE hours can also count toward the general CE requirements for dental license renewal.
